Industry NRD Program

The “Ad-Hoc Industry Natural Resource Management Group” (formerly the Ad-Hoc Industry Natural Resource Damage Group) was founded in 1988 by Barbara J. Goldsmith, working in cooperation with some major industrial companies, in order to establish ongoing communication among companies that are, or might become, the subject of natural resource damage actions under Superfund and other federal, state, and local laws.

The Program

  • Informs Member Companies of key technical, economic, legal and policy developments related to natural resource damages on a continuing basis, including tracking of NRD cases nationwide;
  • Identifies and makes available to Member Companies continually updated technical, economic and legal NRD reference materials; and
  • Provides a forum for the identification and discussion of key issues related to natural resource damage claims, including briefings by experts, research sponsorship and related projects.
  • Provides a mechanism to work with diverse partners on these issues.
